With a range of innovative capital projects underway, were seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Manager to help deliver a diverse and impactful project portfolio. In this role, reporting to our Director of Global Capital Procurement, youll lead the development and execution of strategic contract initiatives across the full project lifecyclefrom early planning and execution through to post-project review. Youll provide commercial guidance to project teams and ensure alignment with broader business objectives. Serving as Alcoas primary representative, making timely and informed decisions within contractual boundaries to safeguard the companys interests. Collaborating closely with Project Managers and on-site project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Leading the formulation and implementation of procurement and contracting strategies for assigned capital projects. Proactively communicate (written and verbal) with the Contractor on behalf of Alcoa to enable execution of contract scopes of work in accordance with the contract (including but not limited to the relevant legislation, Alcoa E&HS policies, technical specifications, engineering standards, project schedule, plant performance criteria) and any other requirements agreed between Alcoa and the suppliers. Proactively identify and report on all Alcoa and Contractor obligations in the contracts at Project, Steering Committee and Senior Panel Level for the term of the contracts. Identify and coordinate input from Alcoa subject matter experts (Engineering, Process, EH&S, Construction, Legal, Risk, Operations, Project Management, Cost Control etc.) to ensure that all correspondence is complete factual and communicated within notification timeframes. Establish and Lead all required Commercial meetings with project team and suppliers and ensure all preparatory work and meeting outcome documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Advise Project Manager, project team and Steering Committee on commercial/contractual risks and present and manage strategies and actions to mitigate Alcoas risk Assess and lead contractual remedial initiatives including dispute resolution and escalation processes defined in the contracts. What You Can Bring To The Role Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Law or equivalent in construction related field is required. A strong background in contract management, successfully having managed an EPC, Design & Construct, Construction or Major Civil contracts within a similar industry. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in time-sensitive environments, with a strong focus on detail, proactive collaboration, and delivering practical solutions. Demonstrated attention to detail with a solution focused mindset and driven by results. Well-developed negotiating, critical thinking, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
