We are on a mission to transform as many lives as possible through wellness tech innovation.Role OverviewWe are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with a strong performance marketing background and 5+ years of senior leadership experience to drive BON CHARGEs global marketing strategy.As a key member of the executive team, you will lead customer acquisition, scale our proven channels (Podcasts, YouTube, affiliates, and paid partnerships), and deliver exponential revenue growth underpinned by our impressive 112% CAGR and mid-eight figure annual revenues.This role is weighted heavily toward performance marketing. We are not looking for a brand-only CMO, but a proven operator who has scaled paid and affiliate channels, optimised CAC/LTV at scale, and thrives in a data-driven, scrappy, entrepreneurial environment. The role reports directly to the CEO, who has a strong marketing background and was recently named a 40 Under 40 category winner.Key ConsiderationsBudget-conscious growth: BON CHARGE has scaled rapidly without outside investment and remains fully bootstrapped. The CMO must be resourceful and strategic in managing lean budgets.Founder-led vision: The brand vision is set by the founders. The CMOs role is to execute and deliver against this strategy.Hands-on role: This is not a typical CMO position. In our high-growth, lean phase, everyone - including the CMO - will be hands-on and wear multiple hats.Scaling proven channels: Our current performance marketing model has driven significant growth. The focus will be on scaling these successful channels, not reinventing them, while adding value in under-explored or underperforming areas.Performance-first mindset: We seek a CMO with a strong bias toward performance marketing, complemented by an understanding of brand.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Marketing Strategy: Execute a multi-channel global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with BON CHARGEs growth objectives and scaling proven channels. BON CHARGE has a solid foundation of marketing initiatives across Podcast, YouTube, Newsletter, Affiliate, and Paid Social partnerships (current partners include Joe Rogan, Steven Bartlett, and Dr. Mark Hyman).Revenue Growth Leadership: Drive significant year-over-year revenue growth, ensuring a strong contribution margin and hitting aggressive growth targets.Customer Acquisition: Lead high-performing digital acquisition campaigns (e.g., paid media, influencer marketing, affiliate partnerships) and ensure efficient and improved CAC metrics.Performance Marketing Depth: Own performance marketing across paid social, affiliates, YouTube, and podcasts - scaling spend responsibly while maintaining efficiency. Continuously test and optimize creative, funnel performance, and attribution models.Reporting: Compile monthly/quarterly reports on KPIs, marketing performance, and upcoming growth strategies for the CEO.Brand Positioning: Work with the Director of PR to amplify our brand identity and cement BON CHARGE as a global leader in wellness tech.Team Development: Build and lead a world-class marketing team across paid and affiliate media, PR, content, creative, and analytics.Channel Expansion: Identify and scale new acquisition opportunities and international markets.Data-Driven Decision Making: Use advanced analytics to optimize marketing performance, LTV, AOV, CAC, and ROAS across all channels.Collaborative Leadership: Work cross-functionally with product, sales, operations, and finance teams to deliver company-wide success.Budgeting: Work with the CEO to compile annual marketing budgets and break these into quarterly spend targets to achieve revenue goals.Recruitment: Build and add to a strong marketing, creative, and PR team to ensure growth targets are fully supported.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.Efficiency: Consistently reduce blended CAC and improve ROAS and MER.Customer Metrics: Increase retention, repeat purchase rates, AOV, and LTV.Brand Awareness: Drive organic traffic, social media growth, and positive press.Zero-Party Data: Increase email list and SMS sign-ups to boost zero-party data.Qualifications10+ years total marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles driving performance marketing.Proven track record of scaling global DTC brands to $100M+ in revenue.Demonstrated ability to profitably manage $10M+ annual paid budgets in DTC e-commerce.Expertise in all major marketing channels, including paid media, influencer marketing, SEO, email, and social media.Deep experience in funnel optimization, creative testing, and attribution models.Strong ability to lead and mentor large, cross-functional teams.Analytical mindset with experience leveraging advanced data to inform strategy.Experience expanding into international markets and scaling operations globally.Exceptional communication and leadership skills with entrepreneurial drive.Passion for wellness and a commitment to innovation in the wellness and beauty space.CompensationPerformance-based bonus structure tied to revenue and marketing KPIs (2040% of annual salary no revenue share or equity).Opportunity to work with a fast-growing, innovative global wellness brand making a real difference in peoples lives.Quarterly staff wellness events.Sydney based 3 days in the office and 2 remote (hybrid)Company DetailsEmployment type: Full-timeSeniority level: DirectorJob function: MarketingIndustries: Wellness and Fitness Services and Retail Health and Personal Care Products #J-18808-Ljbffr
