OverviewApprentice - Heavy Mobile Equipment at Evolution Mining. Four-year Apprenticeship Program providing hands-on training and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. Location: Northparkes Mine (Parkes, NSW) with a 7 days on / 7 days off roster (Dayshift only).We are a diverse and inclusive mining company with operations across Australia and Canada. Were committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace with a long mine life and a vision of a century of mining together.About the roleYour four-year Apprenticeship Program provides hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople, with a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate. Youll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required. You will support the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile equipment across Northparkes underground and surface operations.Key responsibilities:Assisting with servicing and repairing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systemsDiagnose faults and repair mobile plant air conditioning systemsLearning to diagnose faults in mobile mining equipmentSupporting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairsMaintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standardsAttending TAFE and completing formal training requirementsCommitting to maintaining health, safety and security standardsDemonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining valuesAbout youYou are mechanically minded and passionate about working with vehicles and equipment. You have completed or are completing Year 12, and hold a current Drivers Licence. You are eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect. You communicate clearly, follow instructions, and enjoy solving mechanical problems. Youve shown initiative and a strong work ethic through school, hobbies, or personal projects.
