Harwood is situated on the Clarence River near the coastal and historical port town of Yamba.Shift Supervisor (Process) - Harwood Mill & RefineryThe purpose of this role is to lead a shift operations team (10), to ensure that safety, quality and customer service has the focused required. To ensure the plant assets are operating as they should be regarding established operational parameters and quality standards.Through their team, the Shift Supervisor role has the responsibility of monitoring safety adherence, product quality, customer service in warehouse operations and transport loading, scheduling adherence, team performance, plant efficiency, waste and equipment performance. The role is also required to assist with coordinating loading vehicles, labour management as well as tradespersons during breakdown or maintenance situations.Whats involved:To lead safety, quality, food safety, housekeeping and customer focus as the leader of the shiftSupervision of people, process and plant equipment across the Sugar Mill, Boiler and Refinery productionEnsure all activities comply with current Legislation and Regulations as well as organisational policies and proceduresEnsure quality of product, food safety requirements, packaging and loading management comply with agreed customer as well as Sunshine Sugar specificationsPerformance management and supervision of the Shift teamsManaging daily schedule, labour management, key performance indicators and plant effectivenessAnalyse and interpret operational performance data, take corrective action and improve or suggest improvements to the operation to ensure the plant is operated safely and efficientlySupervise minor breakdown and maintenance activities when necessaryUndertake project work as requiredFacilitate, identify, participate, and report on suitable continuous improvement programs or projectsWe are looking for:Suitable tertiary qualifications (Business, Logistics, Engineering, Chemical or Industrial Chemistry) or experience in supervision in a manufacturing FMCG industrial process servicing customers.Experience in managing safety, quality, food safety desirableIdeally you will have experience working on rotating shift structure.
