OverviewThe Commercial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the strategic growth and commercial success of Dabbles global online sports betting business operating in Australia, the USA and the UK. This position requires a commercially-minded person with a strong interest in the gaming and entertainment industry, analytical skills, curiosity about market dynamics, and the ability to collate a broad range of industry data and information into actionable insights. The role will directly support commercial negotiations, licensing efforts, regulatory submissions, and commercial decision-making by delivering robust market research, customer analysis, industry benchmarking, and growth forecasting.Primary LocationThis role is currently open to all locations within Australia, however candidates based in Melbourne may be preferred.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive research on betting markets, consumer behaviour, and industry activity across home markets (Australia, USA, UK) and expansion targetsDevelop models and frameworks to analyse market trends and project revenue growth opportunitiesSupport new product development and market entry initiatives through feasibility studies and market-fit analysisReview and summarise industry publications, key bulletins, analyst reports and economic data relevant to sports betting, daily fantasy sports and iGamingAssist in compiling evidence and research for licence applications and regulatory submissionsProvide analytical support to the broader commercial team, including performance dashboards, KPI tracking and ROI analysesAssist in review and negotiation of key commercial contracts, including reviewing supplier performance, contract renewals, service levels and costs analysisContribute to scenario planning, business casing, and go-to-market strategiesSkills & QualificationsBachelors degree in business, economics, law, data analytics, finance and accounting or a related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into short commercial insightsStrong research and data collating capabilities with demonstrated analytical problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with the online sports betting or gaming industries and their commercial frameworksProficiency in data storage and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Quicksight, Excel, PowerPoint)PreferredExperience working in a regulated industry or contributing to licensing submissionsUnderstanding of global wagering markets, especially in Australia, the USA, and/or the UKAre you a Dabbler?A Dabblers attitude is paramount, as the right person will be able to learn quickly and adapt to any skill gaps.
