In this opportunity, youll deliver comprehensive event strategy, planning, and execution services for one of Australias leading government departments. Youll play a key role in driving high-impact events, shaping strategic outcomes, and applying your expertise across diverse, large-scale initiatives that engage national audiences.Must be an Australian Citizen to apply!ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end delivery of high-profile events including conferences, summits, and regional toursDevelop event strategies aligned with client objectives and provide senior advisory services on planning and delivery approachesManage complex event portfolios with accountability for timelines, budgets, and qualityCoordinate logistics including venues, travel, equipment, and on-site managementImplement project management frameworks, risk mitigation, and deliver post-event analysisBuild partnerships with external vendors and service providersManage senior client relationships and coordinate across internal teams and contractorsFacilitate stakeholder consultation across diverse audiences and senior executivesDevelop and monitor event budgets from small gatherings to large national conferencesNavigate government procurement processes and provide detailed financial reportingQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of senior-level event management experience, with demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder eventsProven track record working with government agencies or similar large-scale organisationsStrong commercial acumen with experience managing substantial event budgetsAdvanced project management skills and demonstrated experience in stakeholder management at executive levelWillingness to travel interstateExceptional communication and presentation skills suitable for senior executive audiencesStrategic thinking capability with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work autonomously while maintaining regular client communicationFlexibility to adapt to changing client priorities and urgent requirementsDue to the nature of this work you MUST be an Australian Citizen with an active AGSVA Security clearance.Desirable: Experience in a Defence environmentAbout Synergy GroupChallengers at heart, we are pragmatic explorers seeking to uncover what could be, so it can be.
