OverviewSenior Project Officer role at City of Greater Geelong. In this role, you will work on engineering investigations, design tasks, assist the project management team, and undertake administrative duties.Work Type and ClassificationWork type: Temporary full time (12 months)Classification: Band 7. Commencing at $106,158 per annum plus super (pro rata).Key ResponsibilitiesProduce civil engineering designs that comply with standards and good practice, are accurate, and innovative in concept while remaining cost efficient in design production and construction.Investigate project-related infrastructure, drainage, environmental and traffic issues to ensure the proposed works deliver the best outcome for the community.Work closely with the Project Management team, providing technical advice to support effective community engagement commitments throughout the scheme.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have civil engineering qualifications or extensive experience in a related field.Essential Experience:Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure design using current principles and standards.Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering complex projects.Demonstrated experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of projects.Drafting skills including use of AutoCAD / Civil 3D & Civil Site Design.Demonstrated experience in engineering investigation work.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work independently and assist others in time management to meet deadlines.Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and correspondence.Experience in a Local Government or design-related office.Ability to problem solve and remain agile when encountering project-related obstacles.Current Victorian Drivers Licence.Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).Additional InformationChild Safety Responsibilities: The organisation is dedicated to child safety and has policies, procedures, and mandatory training to support employees, volunteers, and contractors.
