Transitioning from school to life after school can be stressful for families; we aim to make this transition enjoyable and stress-free. Youll plan weekly programs, collaborate with families and the team, and ensure supports meet the NDIS Practice Standards & Safeguards.Role DescriptionProgram Coordinator Young Adult Day ProgramLocation: On-site at Spring Farm and in the communityHours: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm (most days 8:00am to 4:00pm)Employment type: Full-time (part-time may be considered)Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 (Incl. Super) + Salary sacrifice availableAward: SCHADS or to be determined based on qualificationsRole ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:1. Participant outcomes and program designCo-design individual goals and weekly plans that build confidence, friendships and life skillsKnowledge of and ability to implement AAC and functional communication and positive behaviour support principlesPlan and deliver a balanced timetable (e.g., hydrotherapy, movement/mobility, shopping & cooking, communication/social routines, creative projects, inclusive outings)Ability to create and implement various communication methods (picture communication, makaton sign, etc.)Coordinate community initiative work (e.g., packing fresh produce boxes with Box Divvy)Complete and maintain risk assessments and individual support plans2. Leadership and SupervisionProvide day-to-day direction to carersImplement individual goals into function-based daily activities, including data-informed progress monitoring and staff mentoringOversee the supervision and training of new staff on the programEnsure staff are working within their scope and encouraging professional progressionPromote a positive, inclusive culture aligned to Genovation''s core values3. AdministrationNon-face-to-face administration time for reports, planning, collaboration and documentationTrack and monitor individual progress and maintain recordsDrive continuous improvement for participants, staff and the organisationKey RelationshipsParticipants and families/guardians, allied health, medical and educational professionals, carers, current program coordinator, team leader, care services and business development manager, COO, CEO, and broader community partners.Selection Criteria / QualificationsBachelor''s degree in a related field (Special Education, Developmental Education, Allied Health) or equivalent experience is preferredMinimum 3 years experience in the disability sectorExperience coordinating disability/day programs or similar community servicesPractical knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, zero-tolerance framework, safeguarding, risk management and incident reportingProficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel/Forms, Word, SharePoint)Strong communication skills, especially with families, team members and stakeholdersStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholdersConfident leading a small teamTertiary qualifications in Special Education, Developmental Education, Allied Health or similarRegistration/Membership with AHPRA/CPSP/AASW or eligible.
