OverviewCase Manager - Nugel at VACCA - Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community AgencyWe are seeking a dedicated Case Manager to work with Aboriginal children and families in the child protection system, aiming to improve outcomes and strengthen family capacity. This role supports safe family preservation or reunification, in collaboration with government and sector partners, under the Child Youth and Families Act (2005).ResponsibilitiesWork directly with Aboriginal children and families in the child protection system to support holistic wellbeing (physical, emotional, social, cultural, spiritual).Assess risks, develop culturally grounded safety plans, and strengthen family connections to culture and community.Implement strength-based and healing practices, advocate in the Childrens Court, and maintain accurate case records.Build collaborative relationships with families, community organisations, and government partners to ensure culturally safe, wrap-around support.Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards and promote the rights and voices of Aboriginal children and families.About You / QualificationsSocial Work or related degree (child development, trauma, family dynamics) with practical experience, orDiploma in Community Services (2+ years) with a child welfare focus, fieldwork, and case management training.Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), Working with Childrens Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and Victorian Driver Licence.What We Can Offer You5 weeks annual leaveAccess to training programs and VACCA legal supportComprehensive induction and regular internal supervisionProfessional development opportunities and salary packaging optionsFitness Passport and 17.5% loading on annual leaveAgency vehicles for work-related travelEmployee support and wellbeing programsPaid parental leave after 12 months of ongoing employmentOpportunity to work with and build connection to the Aboriginal Community and cultureAdditional InformationApplications should include a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria and current resume.
