OverviewIts never been a more exciting time to be joining Navantia Australia, one of Australias leading companies in the Maritime and Defence industry.Navantia Australia has been awarded the Designer Support Contract to provide comprehensive design and engineering support to all Navantia-designed ships in service with the Royal Australian Navy. This landmark contract marks a significant milestone for Navantia Australia, as it is the companys first contract held directly with the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA), underscoring its commitment to innovation and excellence in the maritime industry.Due to Navantia Australias ongoing success, we have exciting opportunities for multiple graduate engineers to come and be part of our ever growing organisation. You will support the delivery of combat systems integration projects and tasks for RAN ships. Responsibility includes the provision of engineering services, technical advice, investigations and solution development for the platform integration elements of the following (where applicable):Your responsibilities will include:Provide engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.Support design activities for naval ship systems, applying robust systems engineering processes.Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification.Deliver technical reports and technical documentation in accordance with established Navantia and customer standards.Work effectively within the broader Navantia Engineering Team to engage with different engineering disciplines in the development of new naval ship system designs.Support assigned engineering projects from concept through to delivery.Support and attend design coordination meetings with engineering project stakeholders.Support and attend Design Review meetings with the Client.Support the integrity and maintenance of Navantias engineering design tools, baselines, and engineering drawings.As the ideal candidate, you will have:Bachelors degree Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Naval Architecture, Aerospace, Structural, Mechatronics all considered)Proven skills and experience in a related engineering function.Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.Ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple tasks concurrently.Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and Clients.What its like to work with Navantia AustraliaNavantia Australia plays a key part in the Australian governments Naval Shipbuilding Plan, we are committed to growing Australias shipbuilding and sustainment capability and we want you to grow your career with us.
