Meriden seeks to inspire young women to pursue excellence and contribute positively to their communities.The OpportunityThe Head of Student Wellbeing is a pivotal member of the Executive Team, responsible for leading the School''s wellbeing and pastoral care strategy. Working closely with the Principal and senior leaders, the role oversees the pastoral team and student support structures, ensuring comprehensive care for all students. This is a strategic and relational leadership opportunity for an experienced educator who can combine vision with practical management of student wellbeing programs in a values driven context.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the School''s pastoral team (Deans, Year Coordinators, Counsellors and Nurses).Oversee the care of students with pastoral concerns, ensuring effective communication with families and staff.Develop, implement and evaluate wellbeing programs that align with Meriden''s Fidelis Model and strategic plan.Promote contemporary approaches to pastoral care informed by current research and best practice.Manage student behaviour and wellbeing processes, including the Code of Behaviour and Behaviour Management Plan.Support Prefects and student leaders in building a positive and inclusive school culture.Partner with parents through forums and communication on wellbeing and child development.Ensure compliance with mandatory reporting, WHS and student safety requirements.Contribute to the life of the School through participation in academic, co-curricular and Christian ministry activities.The successful candidate will be:An experienced educational leader with a proven record in pastoral care and wellbeing.Strategic, reflective, innovative with knowledge of current national and global trends in student wellbeing.An outstanding communicator who can build capacity in staff, support students with care and partner effectively with families.A collaborative member of an executive team, committed to contributing to the spiritual, academic and pastoral life of the School.Eligible to teach in NSW and accredited with NESA.Application Process: Meriden School has engaged ANZUK Executive to assist with the search and selection process for this position.
