OverviewAn exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analyst or early-stage Associate to join a high-performing Investment Banking team focused on the General Industrials sector. This position offers exposure to some of the most dynamic and complex transactions in the Australian and broader Asia-Pacific markets, spanning mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic advisory, and capital markets.The OpportunityWorking as part of a lean and highly regarded platform, you will play a pivotal role in the origination and execution of landmark transactions across Consumer, Retail, Industrials, Manufacturing, and broader Real Economy sectors. The team is recognised for advising leading corporations, financial sponsors, and multinational clients on both public and private market transactions, with a strong track record across cross-border and domestic deals.You will work closely with senior bankers across APAC and globally, benefiting from a flat structure, direct client exposure, and the ability to take on significant responsibility early in your career.ResponsibilitiesSupport origination efforts through sector research, market analysis, and preparation of client-ready materials, including pitchbooks and discussion papers.Lead financial modelling and valuation workstreams (DCF, LBO, merger models, trading/transaction comps) with minimal oversight.Execute M&A and ECM transactions, including due diligence coordination, process management, and preparation of key deal documents.Mentor and manage junior analysts; review technical output and contribute to team development.Engage directly with clients, legal, accounting, and due diligence providers in live situations.Monitor market developments across Consumer & Industrials, providing insights to internal stakeholders and clients alike.Requirements2.55 years experience in investment banking, corporate advisory, or related transactional fields.Demonstrated exposure to M&A transactions.Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.Proven ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure environments.Strong commercial judgement, presentation skills and written communication.Why Join?This is a rare opportunity to accelerate your investment banking career within a globally integrated platform, with a strong balance sheet, a respected leadership team, and a growing presence in the Consumer & Industrials space.
