OverviewChief Vascular Sonographer (Chief Cardiac Technologist / Medical Radiation Scientist Level 4 Grade 2) - CRGH role at Sydney Local Health District. Employment Type: Permanent Part Time, 24 hours per week. Location: Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Requisition ID: REQ584559. Applications close: 15 September 2025.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Vascular Sonographer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal leadership position is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular sonographic services. The role plays a crucial part in supporting accurate diagnosis and optimal patient management.ResponsibilitiesPerform vascular ultrasound examinations.Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the vascular laboratory service, including staff rostering and supervision, staff training and mentoring, equipment procurement and maintenance, and liaison with hospital management to align with strategic and operational goals.Ideal Candidate / QualificationsA Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science, Science, Applied Science, or another relevant health qualification.Postgraduate qualification in vascular ultrasound with extensive hands-on experience in vascular examinations.Current ASAR accreditation (Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry).Important Note on Classification: To be appointed and paid as a Medical Radiation Scientist, you must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
