OverviewLead Engineer Asset Management leads a diverse team of professionals and collaborates with other key staff to manage the balance of cost, performance and risk across Council''s Water and Sewerage asset portfolio. This role is essential in the delivery of functions and responsibilities of the asset owner for the Water and Sewer Directorate and seeks to ensure Council maximises the value of its over $3B worth of Water and Sewerage assets for the community.Reporting to the Section Manager Assets and Planning, this role will be responsible for the full range of water and sewer asset management functions, including the detailed preparation of strategic asset management plans, guiding asset monitoring and reporting functions, and initiating and assisting in the delivery of major projects and renewal programs. The role also contributes to alignment with the NSW Government''s Strategic Planning Assurance Framework for Local Water Utilities and other key regulatory bodies. A market loading payment may apply for the right candidate based on skills and experience.Permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working conditions (2 days from home and 3 days onsite).Location: Wyong Administration Building, Central Coast Council.Leaseback vehicle is provided for official duties and private use; vehicle choice will be provided when available. If not available, an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week may apply temporarily.Qualificationsa Degree qualification in Engineering or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development. Additional asset management focused accreditations are desirable.Extensive experience in planning and managing water supply and sewerage treatment and distribution infrastructure; current knowledge in design, construction and operation of water supply and sewerage schemes.Understanding of engineering principles related to asset management and strategic planning of water and sewerage infrastructure.Demonstrated leadership behaviours, including active communication on performance, business strategy, diversity, coaching and mentoring, and change management.Ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade or negotiate outcomes beneficial to the organisation.How to ApplyTo apply, follow the online application steps: answer the online questions, attach your resume, and attach your qualifications and licences.
