Lead the team, drive service delivery, process transformation, compliance, and profitability, and ensure client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development: Oversee structured training, coaching, and leadership across the accounting, tax, and payroll teams; collaborate with department heads to ensure effective operations and full compliance. Service Delivery & Compliance: Own client work delivery, ensure accuracy and timeliness, and adherence to SLAs across engagements; ensure SOP compliance with ASIC and ATO requirements for companies and trusts; safeguard clients against regulatory risk. Operational Excellence & Profitability: Monitor and improve team performance, processes, and workflows; implement corrective actions to maintain client confidence and profitability; partner with leadership to set and achieve operational and financial targets for Sleek Australia. Process & Technology Enablement: Feed back on product improvements, leverage automation, AI, and digital tools to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase scalability; standardise processes and reporting for consistency in client delivery. Strategic Contribution: Act as a key member of the leadership team, contribute to business strategy, service development, and client experience improvements; anticipate regulatory and industry shifts and adapt Sleeks capabilities accordingly; serve as an ambassador of Sleeks mission to simplify accounting and compliance for SMEs. Required Experience Recognised degree in business, management, operations, or a related field. Accounting background is a plus but not mandatory. 10+ years of proven leadership in operations management, with a track record of scaling teams, systems, and service delivery in complex environments. Extensive people leadership experience, including managing large or cross-functional teams; ability to coach, motivate, and drive accountability. Former military officers or leaders with heavy people-operations management experience are strongly preferred. Deep operational expertise with the ability to design and implement processes ensuring high-quality service delivery across multiple teams. Experience in regulated, compliance-focused environments; ability to coordinate subject matter experts to ensure adherence. Tech-enabled operator, proficient with productivity software and AI tools to streamline workflows, reporting, and performance management. Strategic, resilient problem-solver; highly organised, detail-oriented; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable operating in a VUCA environment with a track record of continuous improvement while meeting tight deadlines. Role & Selection Behavioural fit is important at Sleek.
