The Opportunity ORIGINS is the largest study of its kind in Australia, following 10,000 children, from their time in the womb, over a decade to improve child and adult health. The unique long-term study is one of the most comprehensive studies of pregnant women and their families in Australia, recruiting families who are receiving pregnancy care or planning to deliver their baby at Joondalup Health Campus, as well as families from the Joondalup and Wanneroo communities. ORIGINS is following the progress of pregnant women, their partners and babies for the first five years of the babys life, and beyond, with an increasing understanding that an individuals lifetime health and disease may be programmed at a very early stage while a child is still in the womb. Our researchers are not only investigating the prevention of disease but also looking to discover how every child and family can reach their full potential. The Data Assistant position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the ORIGINS Databank team by ensuring the accurate and timely entry, management, and quality assurance of child health-related data across systems. Duties of this role include the following: Scanning and entering data from health questionnaires. Monitoring participant completion rates. Maintaining databases. Supporting ongoing data integrity in line with research and clinical standards. Establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication and ensure team members are informed of project progress. Based at our Edgewater office, this is a full-time role in an ongoing capacity. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience: School year 12 or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise workload. High level skills using Microsoft Office. Good attention to detail.
