Across the state, we are committed to exceptional care, accommodation, and support services for older Western Australians.About the role:We are seeking an experienced Chef to join the friendly and supportive team at our Juniper Korumup team in Albany. This is a fixed-term position to cover paternity leave for 6 months starting in October.The purpose of this role is to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements. You will work within a team of catering staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. You will ensure meals are of excellent quality and that a safe food service is provided.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook foodClean cooking areas and equipmentMaintain safe food hygiene practicesManage resources including ordering and stock controlManage staff supervision and delegation as requiredEnsure compliance with Occupational, Safety, and Health requirementsEngage with residents and participate in facility-based resident meetings to support continuous improvementKey requirements:Trade certificate / Cert 3 or equivalent qualification - desiredExperience in commercial cooking environment and/or aged care catering - essentialCurrent knowledge of Food Safe Plus practices and hygiene standards, quality system requirements, and principles of relevant aged & resident care legislationKnowledge of dietary nutrition for the agedUnderstanding of infection controlExcellent communication and organisational skillsWhats on offer:Attractive remuneration of $43.68 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuationNon-profit, values-driven Western Australian aged care providerAccess to JuniperKS, an online platform offering exclusive retail discounts, employee perks, wellness initiatives, and peer recognitionSalary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax-freeHow to apply:Please submit your application online, including a current curriculum vitae.
