A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Head of Supply Chain to join our business. We are looking for a practical Supply Chain Expert with experience in manufacturing and services, ERP implementation and change leadership.This role is part of our corporate team, a central hub for Thales Australia. Its where our shared services finance, legal, HR, procurement come together to make sure all teams across Australia have access to the business services they need. Cross-functional collaboration helps us build out Thales capabilities and helps us open up new career opportunities for employees all across the business.This role will lead Process Convergence for industrial and supply chain practices as part of a country wide Oracle ERP implementation.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration + Super + Bonus + Medical InsuranceThalesFlex Hybrid work environmentFitness Passport Discount Access to a network of Gyms across AUSEmployee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech, Medical Insurance)Modernised Paid Parental LeaveVeterans LeaveNovated Lease optionsDiverse and inclusive workplacePersonal & professional training development opportunitiesYour roleWorking from our Sydney HQ, Sydney Olympic Park, on Wann-gal land, your role purpose will be:Participate in defining and promoting unified ways of working across industry and supply chainEstablish the plan and specific business cases (through the MVP process) establishing a baseline and tracking improvements in terms of delivery and benefits realisation.Ensure effective deployment of Golden Rules/Policies, Processes and Practices e.g. by establishing effective training content, coordinating UAT across the business etc.Provide workstream schedule, cost and risk updatesResponsible as the change agent and management of O2D and input into the overall change management programIncreasing the overall maturity of Industrial practice and strategic development of the supply chain practices (resources, means & investment): Logistics, Procurement (with Purchasing), PlanningOngoing data management practices and establishment of routines to support ongoing success of the businessCompliance with the regulatory environment for incoming and outgoing flows as well as internal flows where necessary (e.g. GFE)Contribute to the optimal deployment, maintenance and improvement of industrial tools and processes (ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Chorus, etc.) and ensure the use of best practices in planning and execution.Develop the skills of your team and manage skills development needs on the team (critical skills and versatility)Your ExperienceTo be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:Extensive knowledge of industrial/supply chain IT & use of dashboards (analysis, decision support) and problem-solving techniques (PDCA)Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS): Certified in Planning & Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification at a minimum (or the equivalent professional experience)Routine extensive experience and use of ERPExtensive knowledge of the supply chain profession with past experience in planningExtensive knowledge of inventory management and flow management methodologiesUnderstanding of continuous improvement and management tools (Lean: flow management, conducting Gemba Walks, Compass Room, Plan, Do Check Act (PDCA))Good knowledge of products development and their industrial processes (ie manufacturing, repair, third party and contract management, installation, etc)Provide for growth in others and yourself.Enlist and empower others, promote diversity and show empathy.Focus on customer needsGood to knowA Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
