Perth based business operating for in excess of 18 years and work daily on retail, commercial, residential, and industrial properties.We work closely with commercial/residential property managers, local government authorities, private individuals and institutional clients.Services we provide include but are not limited to the following: Fit outs and make goods, maintenance, painting, cabinet making, roofing, renovations, walls, ceilings, plumbing and electrical and more.MUST have 5+ years of experience.Please be aware we do not construct new residential or commercial buildings.About the roleThe estimator role is responsible for quoting minor and larger works, creating a scope and a breakdown of the costs for each job. This includes visiting multiple sites daily and often working remotely from a laptop.Assist with tendering on project works.Network with clients where required.Your Main DutiesDiscuss project brief and scope with clients and provide recommendationsEstimate repair work or project costs including material, equipment and labour from siteProduce quotes in a timely manner from siteMaintain client relationships whilst meeting our clients onsite at various quote requests.Skills and experienceMust have a current and valid driver''s license.WA Experience for at least 5 years.Must have strong technical building knowledge with a qualified carpentry, building or trade background.Must have experience in quoting residential and commercial maintenance, renovation, fit outs and makegoods.You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and extensive experience in tender methodology and also a good understanding of the Perth market.Work experience with a company similar to our operation will be highly regarded.Strong time and organisational management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to be empathetic to the needs of the customer.Good problem solving, investigative and conflict resolution skillsIndustry knowledge and relationships with existing or similar clients is preferred.Intermediate computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to work from an iPad or laptop remotely when required.Please do not call the office directly, all applications to be submitted through SEEK.Applicants must live in Western Australia to apply.
