Overview MSWA''s Fern River facility is looking for our next Nursing superstar to join our fantastic team, providing outstanding services and care. Position We are seeking a Residential Nurse to join our Fern River facility. You will work as part of the team, offering a nurturing environment for clients living with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinsons, Huntingtons, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury, and Stroke. You will be instrumental in improving clients lives, advocating for their rights to autonomy, dignity, and respect. Responsibilities Client Assessment and Monitoring: Complete assessments and regularly monitor residents, ensuring any changes are promptly addressed. Care Coordination: Facilitate referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of residents medical histories, treatment plans, and progress, submitting reports as required. Deliver Clinical Care: Wound and continence management, as well as medication management and administration. Support and Advocacy: Advocate for residents rights to autonomy, dignity, and respect, providing emotional support and ensuring a compassionate care environment. Providing supervision, advice, and support: Ensure our team of Care Supports Workers (CSWs) are supported. Requirements Current AHPRA registration. A basic understanding of neurological conditions. NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain). Current First Aid and CPR (we can help you there if not!). Current A Class Driver''s licence. Working with Children Check (nice to have).
