OverviewSAES1 ($167,239 - $257,291 per annum) + 12% superAbout the Role AELERTs Chief Executive Officer provides operational governance and oversight to ensure the organisation fulfils its strategic objectives and effectively manages day-to-day operations. The Chief Executive Officer leads the Leadership Team, which is responsible for implementing AELERTs Strategic Plan and delivering the key activities that advance AELERTs purpose and objectives. In addition, the Chief Executive Officer is expected to ensure AELERTs strategic objectives are fulfilled; COLLABORATE - to solve common regulatory challenges; GROW - by cultivating our collective capability; INNOVATE - to address emerging regulatory challenges. The Leadership Team is hosted by the South Australian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and structurally reports to the EPA''s Deputy Chief Executive.ResponsibilitiesProvide operational governance and oversight to ensure achievement of strategic objectives and effective day-to-day operations.Lead the Leadership Team in implementing the Strategic Plan and delivering activities that advance AELERTs purpose and objectives.Ensure strategic objectives are fulfilled and promote collaboration, growth, and innovation to address regulatory challenges.Represent and engage with stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand and internationally as required.Manage relationships with the hosting authority (EPA) and report to the EPAs Deputy Chief Executive.Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge or ExperiencePractical experience working in a regulatory environment would be an advantage.Post graduate qualification in management or a related discipline.LocationWhile not mandatory, there is a preference that the candidate be based in South Australia.ContractTerm contract (until 30 June 2028) and full time (37.5 hours per week).RemunerationSAES1 ($167,239 - $257,291 per annum) plus 12% super to the chosen super fund.Special ConditionsPosition of Trust designation under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.Current National Police Clearance is essential.Engagement with members across Australia, New Zealand and internationally; some interstate travel may be required.The incumbent may be required to work out of hours as needed.EnquiriesGrant BarnesChief Regulatory Officer - Natural Resources Access RegulatorEmail: (emailprotected)Phone: 0437 722 548Application InstructionsAll applications must be submitted online.
