As a Laundry Assistant, youll help make that happen by ensuring residents have fresh, clean clothes that support their comfort, dignity and wellbeing.This role suits someone who enjoys helping others, works well in a team, and takes pride in doing a job properly. Your work helps residents feel cared for and respected and our staff will have clean sheets, towels and other supplies.Your ContributionWash, dry, fold and sort clothes and linen for residents and the sitesKeep laundry areas clean and safe and make sure laundry is done on timeTalk kindly with residents and help with any concerns they have about their special clothingFollow safety rules and laundry standardsHelp look after laundry equipment and supplies including regular linen stock takesWhat Youll NeedExperience working in laundry or cleaning is helpful but not requiredAble to speak clearly and work with othersA positive attitude and willingness to learnAble to follow instructions and work safelyPolice check/NDIS Worker Check or willing to get oneAbout usFresh Hope Communities is a not-for-profit organisation that supports older people in aged care, retirement living, and affordable housing.
