About You Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA Completed a post graduate qualification in mental health nursing A minimum of 12-24 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting inpatient and/or community-based setting Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022 Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights) Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight Willing to work across all Western Health campuses Opportunities Are Available Across Registered Psychiatric Nurse Western Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (WIPU) (Womens Only Adult Acute Inpatient Unit) Footscray Hospital Registered Psychiatric Nurse Unit 2 (Adult Inpatient Units) Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Western Health Pool (Inpatient and Community) Permanent Part-Time/Permanent Full-Time positions available Our pools provide permanent employment with exposure across a variety of mental health clinical settings. As a Pool Registered Psychiatric Nurse you will be contracted to fill mental health vacancies that arise daily across inpatient units and/or community-based locations.
