We currently have multiple positions available.OverviewJoin a specialist multidisciplinary team providing statewide care for children and young people (018 years) with complex medical needs and persistent pain. A Clinical Psychologist will support families by addressing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural factors, building resilience, and fostering sustainable lifestyle changes. This role is based at Perth Childrens Hospital within the Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology.Key ResponsibilitiesWork within multidisciplinary team settings across various departments to develop integrated care plans for paediatric patients.Assess, intervene, and consult on paediatric inpatient and outpatient cases addressing cognitive, emotional, and functional challenges to improve the childs well-being and family functioning.Develop and adapt care plans for children with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and complex medical needs under the primary care of paediatricians or surgeons.Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care; contribute to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives; provide mentorship, supervision, and training to junior staff.Develop intervention and group programs within the psychology team; liaise with community agencies and contribute to caseload mapping and service planning to support departmental growth.QualificationsMasters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and eligibility for full registration and Clinical Psychology Registrar status with the Psychology Board of Australia.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment; strong communication and collaboration skills.Experience and Other RequirementsExtensive experience in clinical psychology therapies and assessments; prior experience in a tertiary setting desirable.Participation in MDTs and willingness to contribute to departmental meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development.Commitment to family-centred care and evidence-based practice.Other ConditionsEligibility: valid working visa for fixed-term appointments or Australian citizenship/permanent residency for permanent appointments; Working with Children Check (WWC) required.WA Health policies require criminal records screening and integrity checks; referees may comment on integrity and ethical behaviour.About CAHS and The DepartmentChild and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is the leading paediatric health service in WA, comprising Neonatology, Community Health, CAMHS and Perth Childrens Hospital.
