When you join us, you will be provided with a competitive rate of pay, not-for-profit salary packaging benefits and the support of a wonderful leadership team and colleagues.The RoleWe are looking for an Allied Health Assistant to support the physiotherapist and play a key role in delivering the Active Living Wellness programs.This role will be a Hybrid role that have opportunity to go to our sites at Penrith, Plumpton and Merrylands where you will be working closely with residents.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp implement tailored exercise and engagement activities that promote mobility, independence, and overall wellbeingSetting up and supervising group sessions in the Wellness Centre, assisting with individual exercise plans developed by the physiotherapist, and encouraging ongoing participationContribute to a welcoming, vibrant environment where residents feel empowered to take charge of their health and stay actively connected to their communityAccurately document participation, session outcomes, and observationsDeliver care aligned with aged care standards, SCC policies, and person-centered principlesRequirementsCertificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, Certificate III/IV in Fitness, or relevant qualificationPrevious experience as a Physiotherapy Aide, Fitness Instructor, or similarExperience providing quality care to older adultsKnowledge of health issues relevant to the elderlyUnderstanding of Aged Care Quality StandardsAged Care related qualification or studies in Allied Health (desirable)Understanding of relevant legislation including the Fair Work Act (desirable)Whats in it for you?Salary Packaging ($15,900), plus meal and entertainment benefit package to the value of $2,650Heart HQ - our Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) People Platform, packed with exclusive retail discounts, and features designed to help you celebrate, connect and succeedFitness Passport - Discounted workplace health and fitness program available to you and your family.
