Assistant AccountantDescriptionLocation: Macquarie Park, NSW (Hybrid: 4 days in-office)At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. This role features a hybrid work arrangement, with four days in the office to promote collaboration, build strong connections, and enhance team engagement, and will directly support our mission of delivering exceptional veterinary care by providing professional financial accounting across Australia and New Zealand.We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. In this dynamic role, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide end-to-end financial accounting support across the VetPartners Group.What Youll Be DoingGeneral accounting, including:day-to-day transactions postingsmonth-end closingmonitoring accounts payable and accounts receivableaccounting for prepayments and accrualsMaintain Fixed Assets registerReview the clinic revenue and debtors report and assist with Revenue/Debtors data collection for end-of-monthMonthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring variances are reconciled and followed upProvide monthly review commentaries on clinic P&LsMonthly reconciliations and reallocation of wholesaler invoicesManagement fees calculations and postingEnsure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures and controlsAssist with statutory reporting and auditsWhat Were Looking For5+ years'' experience in a similar multi-site, high volume operational role with exposure to Australia and New Zealand territoriesCA / CPA qualification or studying towardsWell-developed communication skills, a can-do attitude and high attention to detailHigh level of computer literacy and a good knowledge of contemporary information and communication technologiesAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamSound time management skills, incorporating the capacity to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines in an environment of change and conflicting demandsHigh attention to details and accurate reconciliation skills are essentialWhy join VetPartners?At VetPartners, were more than just a company we are united by our passion for animal welfare and excellence in veterinary care.
