You will lead and support Health and Movement Science (HMS) initiatives in primary and secondary schools, collaborating with local teachers, education networks, sporting bodies, and health providers to deliver high-impact, curriculum-aligned outreach programs. These initiatives aim to enrich movement education, enhance student learning, and strengthen UNE''s presence across regional and rural communities.In addition to your outreach responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of evidence-informed resources and programs that support UNEs teaching and community engagement objectives. This includes designing learning modules, outreach activities, and engagement resources that align with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) professional standards, ensuring they are relevant, accessible, and impactful for schools and community partners.This role offers a unique opportunity to embed authentic, community-based experiences into UNEs broader Exercise and Sports Science initiatives while fostering pathways for student involvement through outreach and engagement projects. By connecting school outreach with the Universitys regional mission, you will help extend UNEs role as a leader in education, health, and sport across northern NSW.Ultimately, this position supports UNEs mission to deliver inclusive, high-quality education while deepening engagement with the schools, communities, and industries that shape our regional future.About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in exercise and sports science, clinical exercise physiology, nutrition, education, or a related discipline, combined with the ability to translate this expertise into meaningful school and community engagement. You will be experienced in designing, delivering, and evaluating outreach initiatives that enrich curriculum and enhance student learning, particularly within regional and rural contexts. Your excellent communication and relationship-building skills will enable you to foster productive partnerships with schools, sporting bodies, and health providers, while your organisational and project management capabilities will ensure the effective coordination of outreach activities and events. You will demonstrate a commitment to scholarly engagement through the development of evidence-informed resources, reports, and presentations that extend the impact of UNE''s regional mission.
