Our team has a shared vision to achieve our moral purpose of providing opportunities for all students to develop the skills, knowledge, and resilience through high quality teaching, to pursue pathways of their choice.Find out more about our school by visiting www.collieshs.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.The RoleAs Head of Department English, you will have proven experience to lead a team of passionate educators to achieve the school based targets and Department of Education systemic aspirations to improve the outcomes for students:Champion the schools vision and values, fostering a culture of honesty, respect, commitment, and aspiration.Lead the development and implementation of the Whole School Literacy Plan, with a focus on targeted intervention and inclusive support.Drive curriculum innovation and differentiation through data-informed planning and collaborative resource allocation.Have a thorough understanding of the WA Curriculum and SCSA requirements to deliver programs from Year 7 through to ATAR Year 12 English.Promote restorative practices and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.Align departmental initiatives with the schools Business Plan, budget, and legislative frameworks.We are on a school improvement journey, and this role is ideal for a collaborative leader who can inspire excellence, build strong relationships, and lead with clarity and purpose.
