The Migrant Resource Centre North West Region (MRCNWR) is a community-based, non-profit organisation providing services to migrants and refugees since 1989. We have offices in St Albans and Hume and undertake outreach services across the north west regions of Melbourne. Our organisation has a range of primary service areas, including Settlement services, Aged Care & Disability Services, Learning Centre Services, and certified NDIS provider providing support coordination. Primary Objective of Role The Executive Officer position is responsible for a range of portfolios, including finance, administration/HR, marketing, and publications. The Executive Officer also provides strategic direction to the Committee of Management and fulfils all responsibilities associated with corporate reporting. Specific Accountabilities & Duties Provide corporate, policy, and programmatic leadership and set strategic priorities. Facilitate strategic research to identify potential new service areas and measure satisfaction with current services. Establish new and maintain existing strategic partnerships and alliances. Ensure program accountabilities, timelines, and reporting requirements are met for all funded programs/projects. Oversee preparation and monitor the Centre budget to ensure financial viability. Establish and undertake business development and operational duties relating to the Migrant Resource Centre Registered Training Organisation. Key Selection Criteria Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in business, and/or related fields of social service delivery. A sound knowledge of the Registered Training Organisation sector and migrant welfare issues and service delivery systems. A pedigree of management experience. Knowledge of machinery of government processes. Outstanding written and verbal skills. Other preferred Attributes Hold a current drivers license. Develop strong internal relationships with team members. Strong community acumen. Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload. Other position requirements: The completion of a satisfactory National Police Records Check & Working with Childrens Check.
