In this role, you will act as a Counsel supporting the continued growth and compliance of Genpact Australias business. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated mid to senior-level commercial lawyer to join our global legal team where you will have direct exposure to all levels of business.This role is based in Sydney.ResponsibilitiesAdvise on matters relating to regulatory compliance and employment lawManage Genpacts compliance with the terms of its Australian Credit License and its various debt collections licensesDraft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreementsCollaborate with other departments of the global business and provide legal support in all stages of the client lifecycle, including RFPs, compliance questionnaires, scope reviews to ensure regulatory compliance, etc.Stay up to date and advise the business on relevant legal and regulatory changes including those relating to privacy regulations and industry standards, CPS230 and other relevant APRA Prudential StandardsAttend to miscellaneous legal matters including corporate secretarial matters, internal investigation support, and issues related to office premise leasesContribute to process improvement, development of policies, knowledge sharing, training, and other department initiatives as requiredEstablish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and regulatory stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications / SkillsCurrent admission as a legal practitioner in AustraliaAt least five years post-qualification experienceFlexibility to reasonably accommodate meetings in other time zones and work 2-3 days from the Sydney officePreferred Qualifications / SkillsA mix of law firm and in-house experiencePrior experience with maintaining an Australia credit license and complying with ASIC requirements (exposure to financial services industry would be a bonus, but not essential)Prior experience in a multinational company or representing multinational clients on a wide variety of subjectsUnderstanding of Australian governance and compliance frameworksComfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks of competing prioritiesEmotional intelligence with strong communication skillsEnthusiasm for technology and improving ways of working through workflows, automation, and adoption of technology.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesOil, Gas, and Mining #J-18808-Ljbffr
