OverviewCatering Attendant - Wash role at dnata, based in Melbourne (Night Shift 23:00 PM - 07:00 AM). This position is part of the dnata catering & retail team delivering a memorable dining experience for airline passengers by preparing and maintaining equipment and working areas during the overnight shift.ResponsibilitiesHandling, cleaning and storing various customer airline equipment, including cups, glassware, knives, forks, spoons, plates, bowls, etc., ensuring they are matched to each Airline and presentation specifications.Stocking sufficient quantities of items in storage areas for tray setups.Loading and unloading wash lines, ensuring cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition.Compliance with Food Safety and HACCP guidelines, hygiene standards, and cleaning schedules.Proper use of protective gear and safe handling of approved chemicals for the Wash Area.Complete allocated tasks before the end of the shift.Communicate and coordinate with team members to meet delivery timelines.Follow instructions from section Supervisor or Leading Hand.QualificationsSound numerical skills for accurate documentation and reporting.Good verbal and written English communication.Ability to stand for extended periods and to move and lift items.Ability to work shift work on a 7-day roster.Neat and tidy presentation.Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP (desirable).Clear National Police Check requirement due to Aviation Services industry.Availability to work 38 hours/week (full-time permanent position).BenefitsBe part of a safety-focused, close-knit team.Competitive pay rates and penalties.Free parking, staff meals, and uniforms provided.Career development and national relocation opportunities.5 weeks annual leave.Access to Employee Novated Car Lease program and retailer discounts.About UsWe are Australias largest inflight catering and retail partner, specialising in inflight catering, food manufacturing, and airport lounge management.
