OverviewMobility Equipment Hire Service Volunteer - Palm Beach QLDAustralian Red Cross is seeking volunteers to join the Mobility Equipment Hire Service. This role is an ongoing volunteer opportunity based in Palm Beach, QLD.Commitment: at least one shift per week on a regular basis. Weekdays - mornings & afternoons. Please list your times and days of availability on the application form. Responsibilities Assist customers to identify the most appropriate mobility aid in conjunction with their referral Hire mobility equipment to clients requiring short term equipment hire Provide customers with guidelines for the correct use of the mobility aids Communicate with clients one-to-one, respecting confidentiality Contribute to workplace health and safety practices including maintenance, cleaning and servicing requirements Manage and resolve client and volunteer issues, grievances and complaints Maintain open, professional, positive, respectful and constructive communication in all interactions Complete associated paperwork and process payments Participate in orientation and training sessions Communicate openly with the service convenor and other volunteers regarding the running of the service Qualifications & Requirements For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, organised through Red Cross Training & Support Red Cross will provide training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the organisation.
