OverviewWe are looking for a talented Mechanical Technician with either a light vehicle or heavy commercial qualification to join our high performing workshop team. Cummins specialises in Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation.ResponsibilitiesDeliver a first-class service to our customersComplete service, repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products in our workshopSupport engine rebuildsDiagnose and repair various engines predominately across on-highway, industrial and power generationEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Workshop ManagerComplete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screensBe part of a community of like-minded individuals, who value your input and are open to all viewpoints and communicationQualificationsMechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)Previous repairs and maintenance experience with Diesel Engines, Power Generation, On Highway Truck, Construction or Agriculture desirable but not essentialDiagnostic and problem-solving capabilitiesBe a team player and be prepared to adhere to Cummins PoliciesEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues / incidents to shift supervisorsCompensation And BenefitsCompetitive hourly + shift allowance rate paid as a permanent salaryOvertime penalties for all work above standardMonday to Friday 38-hour work weekParticipation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) programIncome Protection continuance insuranceDiscounts with select private health insurancePC software/hardware and a range of vehiclesAnnual remuneration reviewsSafety equipment / PPE and uniforms providedEqual Opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
