These Values are incorporated into allaspects of employment at the City.This role is responsible for providing specialist advice onstrategic planning matters and to undertake various planning tasks,formulation, assessment and review of Planning Policies, StructurePlans and Town Planning Scheme Amendments; and preparation andproject management of various strategic planning studies.You must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal andwritten, and have proven negotiation and financial managementexperience. Advanced knowledge of Town Planning Administrative andStatutory procedures is a must.To be the successful applicant, you must be degree qualified inUrban and Regional Planning (or equivalent) and be eligible formembership to the Planning Institute of Australia.To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria in your onlineapplication:Highly developed communication, negotiation andpresentation skills.Highly developed written and verbal communicationskills.Extensive practical experience in the profession of TownPlanning, preferably in strategic planning.Extensive understanding of the Western Australian Planningsystem, including Town Planning legislation, acts and statutes,statutory procedures and policies.Extensive experience in dealing with Strategic Planningprojects such as structure planning, major planning projectsand policy development.We are also interested in hearing from people who may not quitemeet all of the selection criteria but have Strategic Planningexperience and are keen to expand their career in a localgovernment environment.We are offering a gross salary of $108,076 - $115,081 per annumand:12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to afurther 5%A variety of health and wellbeing programmesFlexible working arrangements, including rostered days offand two additional paid days of absence per annumTraining and development opportunities including paid studyleave and study feesSalary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles,etc.An information package is available on our website.Applications are open until the City receives a suitable pool ofpotential candidates.
