The Role The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in shaping the companys financial strategy, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the long-term growth and sustainability of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will lead financial operations and provide strategic guidance across the executive team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially experienced finance professional with deep expertise in retail, particularly multi-site environments. Key responsibilities Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across a multi-site retail network Oversee financial reporting, compliance, audit processes, and payroll obligations to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment Deliver a balanced focus on management accounting (75%) and strategic financial guidance (25%) Participate in board meetings and contribute to executive-level decision-making Collaborate with merchandising, operations, and cross-functional teams to optimise inventory, profitability, and commercial outcomes Maintain and enhance MYOB-based financial systems while managing a team of 3 contract bookkeepers Support capital planning, fit-outs, acquisitions, and liaise with external advisors on tax and audit matters Skills & Experience Youre not just a finance leader, youre someone who wants their work to matter.
