Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.About the roleStep into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors.You will play a key role in supporting our donors through their donation process. Full training is provided so, along with the above, all you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological products.A day in the centre could see you:Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donateCreate a donor experience theyll loveand want to come backComplete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines and collections equipmentInsert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and plateletsMonitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donationWork collaboratively to achieve collection targetsNo prior experience in blood collection is needed, our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, youll need to be able to:Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materialsOccasionally lift between 9-22.7kgsSupport and foster a fantastic team cultureFrequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood productsBe flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shiftsBenefits and WellbeingWe place our employee''s well-being at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another.
