Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishesincluding pizzas, pastas, grilled items, and bistro-style mealscrafted freshly from raw ingredients to order, ensuring no reliance on pre-prepared or processed foods. Demonstrate advanced culinary techniques, precision, and creativity to deliver consistently high-quality dishes in alignment with Eureka Bistros established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Oversee all stages of food preparation, ensuring the use of fresh produce and adherence to proper storage, rotation, and inventory management to maintain ingredient quality and minimize wastage. Exercise sound judgment in seasoning, cooking temperatures, and timing to achieve optimal texture, flavour balance, and visual appeal for every dish served. Operate and maintain a range of commercial kitchen equipment, including wood-fired pizza ovens, grills, fryers, and other appliances, in a safe and efficient manner. Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and broader kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination of kitchen operations and timely service delivery during high-volume periods. Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with HACCP principles, Safe Food Australia guidelines, and internal quality assurance procedures. Contribute to menu development by proposing seasonal specials and recipe improvements aligned with customer preferences and the restaurants culinary direction. Monitor inventory and assist in procurement activities, verifying the quality, quantity, and condition of supplies upon delivery. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
