The role involves installing, testing, commissioning and fault-finding complex telecommunications, electrical and logical circuits complementing HV systems.The people you''ll join:Based in Gladstone or Townsville, you will join our Field and Asset Management Team, working within Secondary Systems and report to our Section Team Leaders within the Field Delivery Group, youll join a highly skilled team dedicated to the operation of Powerlinks high voltage substation network.What you''ll bring:You enjoy continual learning, working in a supportive and collaborative team environment, are highly accountable, take pride in providing a quality service and have a keen interest in working on technologically advanced systems.Bring your experience and knowledge of; maintenance, testing and commissioning of multiplexer systems (PDH, SDH, and DWDM), MPLS-TP, fibre optic, and microwave radio.Testing and commissioning of associated Control and SCADA systems.You will be involved in predominately field based work using industry standard test equipment; and analysing and fault finding on complex electrical circuitry and schemes.An Electronics and Communications or Electrical Trade CertificateAssociate degree or Advanced diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalentA current C'' Class drivers licenceRestricted Electrical LicenceIf you do not already hold an Associate degree or Advanced diploma in a related Electrical or Electronic Engineering field, it is expected that you will have willingness to undertake studies to achieve this.
