With capabilities spanning project administration, logistics, and civil construction across both marine and land-based applications, they have built a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and efficiency.Following a recent organisational review, our client is seeking a skilled Intermediate Accountant with 3-5 years of experience, and a strong background in project costing and financial analysis. This role is essential to supporting the business''s financial management and contributing to improved project performance and operational efficiency.About the RoleReporting to the Financial Accountant, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, job costing analysis, forecasting, and supporting key stakeholders with accurate financial data. This role will suit someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is comfortable working both independently and within a small collaborative team.Experience using Triumph accounting software is highly desirable, though not essential.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage project and job costing, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.Prepare and analyse financial and management reports, including budget variance, project profitability, and cash flow forecasts.Support project managers and operational leads with financial insights and cost controls.Assist with monthly and year-end reporting, financial statement preparation, and forecasting.Maintain accurate fixed asset and inventory records.Perform financial data analysis and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.Investigate discrepancies and work with the Financial Accountant to resolve variances.Support ongoing process improvement initiatives within the finance function.Perform general accounting and administrative tasks as required.Uphold and promote WH&S policies and safe workplace practices.Candidate RequirementsDegree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline; OR Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping with BAS Agent registration.3-5 years'' experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within construction, civil, mining, or related industries.Strong experience in project/job costing and financial reporting.Familiarity with Triumph ERP software (highly desirable).Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive mindset.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both financial and operational teams.Must have full working rights in Australia, reliable transport, and currently reside in the Perth region.What Our Client OffersA stable full-time position based in Port Kennedy, WA.The opportunity to work with a respected and growing company.Exposure to diverse projects across the construction, mining, and marine sectors.A supportive team environment and opportunities for professional development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
