CSI is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (CSU) and acquires, manages, and builds industry-specific software companies across the globe, providing them with strategic guidance and financial security.Headquartered out of Brisbane, Vela APX is a division of Vela Software and provides finance, HR, payroll and administrative support to our growing number of software companies across Australia, New Zealand, India, UK, Japan, US and Singapore.About the RoleThis position supports the Finance Manager and Group Finance team in delivering a broad range of accounting and administrative activities, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, BAS and IAS preparation, reconciliations, payroll, banking, and related month-end and quarter-end reporting, as well as assisting in the preparation and updating of the responsible BUs monthly/quarterly QSR reporting. The role is key to ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient provision of financial services across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesDelivery of high quality financial analysis.Ensuring successful completion of the monthly and quarterly financial deliverables for the vertical market.Contributing to effective formulation, documentation and sharing of processes, policies, and procedures.Effective stakeholder relationship management with an emphasis on fostering excellent business partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.Committing to the companys core values.What Were Looking ForTertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or other relevant professional qualificationCA/CPA membership (Equivalent or working towards it)At least 3 years of experience in a related role, preferably within a commercial software environmentSolid understanding of core accounting principles and applicable accounting standardsYou thrive in tackling challenges head-on and finding creative solutionsHighly effective communication skills with high attention to detailTech savviness and experience with computerised accounting packagesEnergetic and self-motivated being able to work autonomously and in a team-based environmentExperience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains that would be advantageous but not mandatoryHigh level of adaptability/flexibility coupled with a keenness to learnCommitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvementWhy Join Vela APX?At Vela APX, we believe in taking care of our team.
