Role LawyersAU is seeking a motivated and skilled Lawyer to join our Melbourne team. This role is ideal for solicitors with litigation experience or those looking to expand their expertise in commercial disputes, debt recovery, and property law. You will have the autonomy to manage your own matters, while benefiting from mentorship and collaboration within a supportive and growing practice. Responsibilities Lead and manage litigation matters from inception to resolution Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents Conduct debt recovery proceedings, including demands, negotiations, and settlements Advise clients on property disputes and commercial litigation matters Conduct legal research and prepare strategic client advice Appear in court and instruct counsel where required Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality outcomes Qualifications & Skills Admitted as a solicitor in Australia Demonstrated litigation or commercial law experience (25 years PQE preferred, but flexible for strong candidates with relevant paralegal experience) Strong legal drafting, analytical, and communication skills Experience in debt recovery or property law advantageous Excellent time management and attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound professional judgment Client-focused approach with strong relationship skills Interest in further developing litigation and dispute resolution expertise Collaborative and supportive team environment Mentorship from senior solicitors and professional development opportunities Flexible working arrangements How to Apply Submit your resume and cover letter outlining your experience, skills, and interest in litigation or commercial dispute resolution.
