Youll be warm and approachable, with the ability to build trusting relationships with participants, families, and team members.Experience supporting people with trauma and complex behaviours will be highly regarded, as will the ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.Your ResponsibilitiesDeliver individualised support and direct care for people with disabilitySupport clients in community participation programsEnsure personal care, domestic activities, meal preparation and client welfare is supported and encouragedAdminister medication in line with policies and proceduresProvide accurate reports, progress notes, charting, incident reports and shift handoversSupport clients with complex behaviours of concern using a person-centred, trauma-informed approachesRequirementsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in supporting people with Autism, trauma and Intellectual DisabilityCertificate III/IV in Disability, Community Services, Child Youth & Family or equivalent (desirable)NDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent WWCC (or willingness to obtain)Valid Australian Drivers LicenceWhat We Can Offer YouCompetitive hourly rates under the SCHADS Award 2010Flexible hours across weekdays, evenings, weekends, and overnightsA diverse and inclusive workplace where your growth is supportedThe opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of participants and their familiesIf youre ready to make a difference and bring compassion, professionalism, and heart to your role, wed love to hear from you.
