$77,132 - $98,069 plus super and benefitsWesternport Water''s core functions are to provide drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services to properties and communities throughout our district.We are one of 18 water corporations operating and reporting to the State Government of Victoria.We are responsible for servicing 21,916 customers from 27 townships across an area covering 300 square kilometres, encompassing Millowl (Phillip Island) and mainland communities from The Gurdies to Archies Creek.The region has one of the highest ratios of visitors to residents of any destination in Australia. Westernport Water delivers sustainable drinking water, recycled water, and wastewater services to the region.We offer our staff:A truly flexible working environment including a monthly RDO for full time employeesA range of provisions to support work/life balance including access to request purchase leave and a 9-day fortnightUnique opportunities for staff to develop capability and contribute to the strategic objectives of the organisationSalary Continuance Insurance to provide comfort and security for eligible ongoing employeesInnovative systems and processes for a safe and welcoming workplace, including a highly regarded wellbeing programA focus on positive culture and engaged employees in alignment with our values of Care, Courage and Commitment''About the roleOngoing, Full time, based at Newhaven head officeBand 5 ($77,132 to $98,067 plus super and benefits)We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Revenue Coordinator with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and exceptional stakeholder support.The Revenue Coordinator plays a key part in managing daily debt recovery activities, implementing alternative payment solutions, and contributing to the development of effective revenue strategies.Key Responsibility AreasOversee debt recovery activities to ensure timely revenue collection and resolution of complex billing and debt-related enquiries.Lead and motivate a team responsible for meter reading and customer care, including identifying training needs and creating development plans.Manage the full accounts receivable function, including monthly reconciliation of metered charges and scheme accounts with the general ledger.Coordinate billing processes across multiple tariffs and charges, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting and reimbursement claims.Maintain strong relationships with government agencies and support audit processes, while enhancing the utility billing system for improved data integrity and reporting.Qualifications and ExperienceProven experience in delivering high-quality customer service, particularly in metering and billing.Extensive experience in debt collection and recovery processes, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.Experience working in a utility or local government environment is highly regarded.A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.Please respond to the following Key Selection CriteriaStrong background in managing debt recovery processes, including implementing alternative payment options and supporting customers in financial hardship.Demonstrated experience in utility metering and billing, with a solid understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements.Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, supported by excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Skilled in managing customer accounts and contributing to strategic initiatives within utility or local government environments.Applications will be reviewed, and interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis prior to the closing date.
