Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, youll lead the Talent Acquisition function for a scaling SaaS company, managing a small TA team and acting as a full-cycle recruiter on key requisitions.ResponsibilitiesLead the Talent Acquisition Function and Global TA TeamCollaborate with the VP, People & Culture on workforce planning, salary bands, and talent acquisition strategyLead a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists located in Ontario, Canada; Texas, USA; and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with plans for growthMentor and train team members on progressive best practices and balance requisition loadContinuously monitor TA processes and workflows; implement improvements to meet the demands of fast-paced expansionOversee talent acquisition and attraction projects, including recruitment marketing initiatives, partnerships, events, and employer awardsProvide weekly reports and status updates to leadership and the P&C team on hiring progress and roadblocksConduct full-cycle recruitmentOwn requisitions for senior, technical, and niche roles in Canada (Ontario focus) and USA (Texas focus); act as main contact for candidates and coordinate interview processesPartner with hiring leaders and TA Specialists to define requirements, create job postings, and design interview processesAdvise on Talent Attraction, Interviewing, and Selection best practices for external and internal candidatesCollaborate with People & Culture Operations and Business Partners on alignment with best practices and compliance for recruitment and onboardingAssess candidate fit by screening resumes and conducting initial phone screensMaintain the ATS (Workable) and track requisitions and approvalsQualificationsKnowledge requirementsEmployment standard practices affecting talent acquisition and offers in the US and CanadaWorkforce structure and planning for a start-up/scale-up SaaS companyAbility to implement process improvements and develop tools to support scalable growthBest practices for posting, sourcing, interviewing, and offering to create a strong candidate and stakeholder experienceMinimum of 5+ years in direct talent acquisition, including 1-2 years in people leadershipExperience in the SaaS industry recruiting for technical roles (Software Engineering, Product, etc.)Strong sourcing and pipelining capabilities; proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter or equivalent toolsAbility to mentor hiring leaders and team members in interview techniques and candidate experienceComfort with using and adapting to applicant tracking systems; familiarity with Workable is a plusExcellent organizational skills and ability to keep processes moving efficientlyDesire to mentor others and contribute to a culture of connection and continuous improvementWillingness to travel occasionally with valid passport; no travel restrictions between Canada and the USA for team eventsInterest in engaging in projects that offer learning opportunities and leadership developmentWe acknowledge that applying for a new role can bring imposter syndrome.
