The opportunityWe are in the market for a highly skilled and motivated Projects Manager Major Projects to manage the Citys major capital works projects.Reporting to the Manager Project Management, this role will be responsible for managing the delivery of major building and infrastructure construction projects, including:leading internal groups and expert consultantscoordinating the design process through from concept schematic drawings to construction contract documentationproviding quality infrastructure project management services to the organisation, including timely and budget sensitive delivery of major capital works projectsefficiently and effectively managing major capital works projects by facilitating multi-disciplinary teams, with a high degree of competency and autonomyapplying best practice methods for contract administration, including the assessment of and response to variations, extension of time and other contract related requestsactively managing project and contractual risks and compliance, and preparing project risk registers with clear mitigation plansfacilitating the procurement and contract awarding processensuring programmed targets and budgets are metTo be successful in this role, you will need:Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. engineering, construction or building)A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in delivering major building and civil infrastructure capital works projectsRecognition by the Institution of Engineers Australia (Engineers Australia) as a Professional Engineer (or equivalent)Be a current active Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate holder at PMP, or possess an equivalent project management recognition (highly desirable)For more information about the role, please refer to the position description.How to applySound exactly like the sort of role for you?
