The opportunityAre you passionate about building a strong risk management culture and driving governance excellence? Were looking for an experienced professional to help shape and strengthen Alpine Resort Victorias (ARV) approach to risk and compliance. As the Governance and Risk Advisor, you will provide expert advice and lead initiatives that ensure ARVs governance and risk practices are robust, compliant, and future-ready. Youll work collaboratively across teams and resorts to embed best practices, support emergency and business continuity planning, and deliver strategic insights that drive continuous improvement. Ideally, you have experience in local or state government and strong skills in interpreting legislation, regulations, and policies, enabling you to serve as a subject matter expert in governance areas such as integrity, insurance, risk management, freedom of information and privacy. Travel: this role does require occasional travel to ARVs resorts to support on-site implementation and engagement a unique opportunity to combine meaningful work with spectacular natural surroundings. Qualifications and experience:Tertiary qualification in governance, risk management, public administration, or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience in governance and risk advisory roles within public sector or similar environmentsStrong understanding of legislative frameworks, compliance obligations, and emergency management planningCritical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex governance and risk issues and deliver effective solutionsStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across resorts and departmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiencesThe successful candidate will be required to have:Full Australian working rightsSatisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol testsValid drivers licence (Victorian preferred)Victorian Working with Children Check - EmployeeAdditional pre-employment and compliance checks may be required depending on the requirements of the role.How to apply: Applicants are to provide a resume and cover, detailing how they meet the key selection criteria, outlined in the position description.For a copy of the position description, please contact [email protected]: Enjoy the flexibility to work from one of our stunning alpine resorts or offices in Mansfield/Lilydale.
