The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a hands on Gardener / Groundskeeper to help keep Daydream Island looking its absolute best. You will be responsible for the presentation, upkeep, and maintenance of the resort''s gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces, ensuring our guests experience the tropical beauty of our island.This is a live off island role, with discounted ferry transfers available.About the RoleMaintain all gardens, lawns and indoor plants to a high standardMowing lawns and edgingTriming plants and treesOutdoor cleaning duties and upkeep of public areasEnsure all p athways and outdoor public areas are safe for guests and colleaguesSafe maintenance and storage of equipment, tools, and garden chemicalsAssist withpaving and general improvementsFollow all safety procedures and demonstrate safe manual handling practices.Desired Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in resort, commercial or public gardeningStrong focus on safety and attention to detailDrivers licence (Essential)Comfortable working outdoors in tropical conditionsThink on their feet and strong problem solving skillsProfessional, guest focused attitudeReliable team player who can work under pressure when required #J-18808-Ljbffr
