OverviewProtecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team for a Heavy Civil Construction Project in Coffs Harbour (100% On-site).Estimated Duration: 12-14 months. In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for low-voltage tunnel ventilation and lighting systems.Develop, review, and implement commissioning procedures, test plans, and checklists for LV electrical and control installations.Conduct and supervise functional, integration, and performance testing of LV equipment and control interfaces.Work closely with design, construction, and systems integration teams to resolve technical issues. Verify compliance with AS/NZS standards, project specifications, and electrical safety regulations.Ensure proper documentation, including test records, as-built drawings, and handover packages. Supervise and guide commissioning technicians, subcontractors, and system specialists.Report progress, issues, and risks to the Commissioning Manager / Project Engineering Lead.Maintain a strong safety focus and adhere to all project HSE and quality procedures.RequirementsA minimum of 7 years of experience as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer in tunnel/highway/bridges/heavy civil construction projects or similar.Strong knowledge of Australian Standards.Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and coordinate activities across disciplines.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Hands-on approach and willingness to engage in field commissioning activities.Working HoursMonday to Friday 40 hours weekly depends on project demands.BenefitsCompetitive salary + 12% superannuation.Private health insurance is provided.20 days paid annual leave + 10 sick days.The description and conditions indicated here are intended to describe the general nature of the work performed by employees but do not constitute a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and general competencies required by the staff.
