About the roleWe are seeking a Leading Hand Carpenter/Concrete/Form-worker to join our skilled team at SC Concrete & Masonry in Warrnambool, VIC. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to step up into a leadership role and oversee construction projects and lead a team of tradespeople.Australian work authorisation is required for this position.What you''ll be doingSupervise and coordinate the activities of a construction crew, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely mannerRead and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents to plan and schedule workAssign tasks and delegate responsibilities to crew members, providing guidance and support as neededMaintain accurate records of labour, materials, and equipment used on each projectLiaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concernsWhat we''re looking forNO EXPERIENCE NEEDED- if youre a fully qualified Carpenter with no experience running jobs, we would still love to hear from you.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulationsExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and liaise with clients and stakeholdersWhat we offerAt SC Concrete & Masonry, we are committed to providing a supportive, rewarding, fun & flexible work environment for our employees.
