Youll report to the Shift Supervisor and handle explosives in preparation for blasts.What Youll DoDipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patternsSafe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosivesOperating ancillary equipment such as stemming loadersWorking collaboratively with the crew to achieve daily targetsWhat Youll NeedMust-haves:Right to work in AustraliaPrevious Blast Crew experience in an open cut mining environmentStandard 11 (or willingness to obtain)QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)Able to pass pre-employment checks including medical, drug and alcohol and background checksNice to have:Statement of Attainments for explosive handling or relevant RIIs e.g. RIIBLA201E Support Shotfiring OperationsHeavy Rigid (or greater) driver licenceAbout UsWere a bespoke blasting provider in the Australian mining industry with the goal of making mining easier for our clients.Were not aiming to be the largest, were focused and pride ourselves on being the most recommended provider.
